He had just been laughing. Joking. Toying around. Headphones in place and microphone recording all his words and noises. But then his computer had begun to whir. He didn’t take notice at first, just thinking it was slightly overheating. But then the noise spread. It engulfed the room. The speakers. Every piece of computer based technology whirred and the room grew hot. He panicked, screaming into his mic as it grew warmer in the room. He didn’t even get time to scream as the room was engulfed in a blinding white. His body felt like it was nothing as the warmth engulfed him, burning away at his form. It just ached and he wanted to scream.

He opened his eyes without effort and looked around. His mind was foggy and full of confusion. The area he was in was a bright blue void, empty except for himself.
“What...” White numbers danced in his vision as he turned around. His eyes widened and breath caught in his throat. That... was his room. There were strange men walking around in there, wearing body suits and using strange things. His hearing was blurred but the words “Dead” and “No body” could be heard. Cry panicked. He screamed and yelled but nobody came to his aid. He tried to talk to them again but the screen fell dark. Cry drew back, still in shock. His mind began to wander in confusion and soon he found himself drifting along in the void. He wandered into others computers, seeking answers but was chased away by the viruses. They harassed and beat him, causing white numbers to appear on his arms. It hurt him and he felt like giving up but something drove him on. There was one computer he hadn’t tried yet and so, with hesitance, he approached. Peeking through the webcam, he didn’t see anything at first until a tiny form made it into the view. Cry jumped. He was so small! The figure appeared to be about three or so inches in height. He also seemed to be crying, small tears trickling down his cheeks.
“I don’t know if anyone can hear me” The boy began. “But if you can, could you please help me? I’m so alone...” The tears started again and Cry moved closer, pressing himself against the barricade to the computer system. The voice picked up again and Cry felt his heart begin to ache.
“I’m all alone now. Miss Moore’s gone...” He trailed off and Cry moved into the system, causing the screen to beep. The smaller boy backed up and looked at the screen, reading the message that appeared.
“What is your name...?” He read aloud, mind confused before he answered. “Felix.” Another message popped up, asking him for a favour. Felix nodded and soon the two conversed more and more.
“If you help me... I’ll stay with you forever” The message read. Felix looked at it with shock. “Really?” He asked, hesitance in his tone. The speakers crackled to life with a single word that made the Swede cry for joy - “Promise”

“Does it go here?” Felix asked as he held a piece of the computer.
“I dunno” Cry responded, making Felix sigh in annoyance as he began to hook it into place.
“Does it feel right?” He asked. Cry grinned and cheered as he felt it working with his system, making it easier and easier to function.

“I have dinner!” Felix shouted as he walked back in the door. He tossed the piece of the apple into the air just as Cry shot out some electricity, cooking it somewhat. Felix caught it with a laugh and nibbled on it as Cry laughed too.

“Felix!” Cry shouted as he watched the man slump across the keyboard.
“I’m fine” He assured but pain was in his face as he clutched his sides. “Just... a little hungry” He said, eyes closing. “I’m gonna sleep it off...”
“Felix!” Cry screamed. “FELIX”

“Hang on Cry!” Felix shouted as he slammed buttons on the keyboards. The speakers were filled with indescribable noises as Cry yelped and hissed, fighting against the virus trying to infiltrate his system. Numbers and code flew by on the screens as Cry retaliated against his attacker, throwing everything he had at them. He had been beating them back but the virus had its own dirty tricks. Attacking quicker, Cry felt himself become overrun.
“Cry! Hang on! Cry!” Felix yelled. “CRY!”
