“Do you trust her?” Felix asked. The screens crackled to life with various information, videos and pictures. Things Cry usually displayed when he knew Felix was unsure.
“I... trust her a little” Cry said. “She is afraid of us. I know that. She is scared of us”
“They all are” Felix replied, “Everyone’s scared of us” The smaller boy looked down at his feet and Cry frowned. The speakers sparked to life with old videos, lighting up across all screens. A particular sentence stuck out and Felix chuckled, finding his mouth moving along with the words.
“Hello and welcome to Cry plays-” The intro cut out and it continued with random sound clips, jokes and giggles that soon made Felix chuckle himself. Gentle electric shocks sparked from the tiny gaps in the console, leaping from the circuits and gently tracing across his skin. He giggled and ended up falling over onto the console. Electricity gently grazed his skin, raising the hair on his body and making him giggle and scream out in laughter and happiness.

“Cry... I think we should have dinner then sleep” Felix finally managed to gasp out. The electricity stopped and Felix sat up, taking the bag off his back and opening it, getting out some of the apple. He grinned at seeing some of it cooked and took a bite, sighing in contentment at the taste. The small light on the circuit board blinked next to him and Felix nodded. “It’s good” He said before sighing. “Cry...” He asked, closing his eyes and looking down.
“Yes? What’s wrong?” Cry questioned, sliding onto the screens along the wall to look at Felix.
“It feels a little quiet tonight” Felix replied. He looked up a little and nibbled more on his apple. Cry frowned and began to drift across the screens, binary filling some as he tried to think of ways to make Felix happier. The air was only filled with the humming of machinery and the quiet sounds of Felix nibbling before Cry broke it.
“Wanna play fireworks again?” He asked. Felix looked at him with the innocence of a child.
“Really?” He asked, standing up. “Please please please?” He begged. Cry laughed.
“Go ahead - Shoot”
“Yay!” Felix cheered, pointing at the screens on the walls. The loud sound of fireworks exploding began to blast from the speakers as the blue glow changed into red, purple, green, orange, white and thousands of other colours. Cry grinned as Felix giggled, pointing at the hundreds of screens.
“Alright, bed time” Cry said. Felix let out a moan of annoyance but Cry shook his head. “Come on."
“Fine” Felix conceded, jumping off the control panel and padding over to the screens in the corner of the room. Cry appeared with a burst of code and glitch, laying flat with his arms behind his head. Yawning, the smaller man stepped onto the screens, sighing in relief at the warmth they gave as he curled up, sitting where Cry’s heart would have been.
“Goodnight Felix” Cry said, words becoming distorted as he set himself into sleep mode.
“Night... Cry” Felix mumbled, mind fading off into the darkness that was sleep.
