His feet slammed on the floor, breath hitching in his chest as he tried so very hard to get to where he was. He'd managed to make it home to not only find it empty but to find a certain letter left on the table missing. That letter... Felix... He must have taken it.
"You fucking moron!" Cry yelled as he jumped over cars and ran across streets, ignoring the honks and screeches of vehicles making noises at his carelessness. He needed to find him and he needed him now.
Something small slowly came into view, running along the edges of fences and such, carrying a small slip of paper. Cry's eyes narrowed as he let out the breath he'd been holding, charging towards the small figure. It let out a yelp. A single yelp before being swept up in two hands, Cry tripping with the momentum and rolling across the floor, scraping his arms and legs up across the pavement. The world seemed to spin but he paid it no mind as he opened his hands slightly, peering down into them. Staring back at him was the confused and panicked face of a familiar Swede.
"It's okay" Cry managed to say just as the smaller man began bawling his eyes out. Managing to stand, Cry began to limp on home, holding the crying mess close. "It's okay Felix"
"I was scared" The words were a quiet whimper. Felix clung onto Cry's hand as breaths began to hitch and tears began to spill. Cry tried his best to calm him down, stroking his hair gently.
"I know you were but I'm here now. We don't need the letter anymore" Cry told him, taking the slip of paper and folding it up, placing it in his pocket.
"You were gone for so long" Felix's voice being just a shell of the usual joy it held.
"I'm sorry. I really am" Cry replied, keeping up his soothing motions.
"I feel all broken inside... like glass" The Swede looked at Cry, eyes shining with tears that needed to be shed.
"How do I make it better?" Felix sniffed as he heard the question, tightening his grip on Cry and not giving any inclination to let go.
"By staying with me forever" The quiet voice said. Cry nodded, pulling Felix close. He pressed a caring peck on the top of his head, still keeping him close as they headed to home.
"I promise you that I'll stay with you forever" Cry said as he finished cooking, setting the plate on the table where Felix was. Pancakes, syrup, chocolate milk and everything else Felix loved was sitting around the man. Cry pulled up a chair and sat down, gently stroking the side of the Swedish man's head. Small arms wrapped around the finger, holding it tightly as Felix closed his eyes. Cry slowly swept more fingers under the man, eventually pulling him into his palm. A soft smile spread on his face as he saw the slow rise and fall of Felix's chest. He'd fallen asleep.
"It's been a while since you've fallen asleep in my hand" He said quietly as he stroked his side, only to have a arm clamp down on his finger, trapping him. Cry grinned.
They wouldn't need the letter.
He wouldn't let it come to that
